When quality control is logged on loose spreadsheets or paper, each specialist ends up recording measurements their own way, and spotting a pattern — a process drifting out of range, a supplier with more non-conformities than others — depends on someone sitting down to consolidate everything manually. By the time that happens, the problem has already progressed.

With DataScope, every measurement is recorded with the same criteria no matter who takes it, and the information is available for review as soon as it's submitted, not at the end of the period.

With the Form Builder, you define your quality control criteria and scales once, and every specialist applies them the same way, regardless of shift or plant. Measurements are recorded from a phone or tablet, even without an internet connection — the information stays saved on the device and syncs on its own as soon as there's signal.

Each check can include photos, automatic geolocation, and barcode or QR scanning to identify the exact batch, product, or checkpoint. You can require that photos be taken with the device's camera (not from the gallery), to make sure they correspond to the actual place and time of the measurement.

If a check detects a value outside acceptable parameters, the Issues module lets you open the corrective follow-up directly from that same answer — staying linked to the measurement that triggered it, so you can see the correction's status and who's responsible for closing it.

For checks that require formal validation, Digital Signature lets the specialist and, when applicable, the area's responsible person sign the certificate directly on the device when the measurement is completed.

Every time a check is completed, DataScope automatically generates a PDF certificate with the results. You can customize its format to match your organization's standard or one required by your client, and turn on automatic notifications so the certificate reaches the right person as soon as the measurement is completed.

You can export the results to Excel to spot patterns — which line or supplier concentrates more deviations, what range your measurements move in — or use Ask DataScope to query the information in plain language and get an answer on the spot, without waiting for a manual summary.
