At DataScope, we prioritize the security of our users' information and seek to prevent any potential vulnerabilities. Therefore, we have implemented controls to ensure data integrity and prevent unauthorized access to our app. Below are some of the security measures we apply and the warnings you may see if a potential risk is detected on your device:

1. Rooted or Jailbroken Devices

This message appears when we detect that the device has superuser permissions (root or jailbreak), which allows modifications or access to restricted areas of the operating system. This condition can compromise the security of your data, enabling unwanted actions or manipulations.

Solution:

  • To continue using the DataScope app, we suggest checking if your device is indeed rooted or jailbroken. If you weren't aware, you could restore your device to factory settings to remove the root or jailbreak.

Until you do so, you will only be able to see this message in the app and will not be able to use it.

2. Mock Location Detected

Solution:

  • If you are using an app to simulate your location, please temporarily disable it to continue using DataScope.

  • If you believe this is an error, we suggest reviewing your device settings or any app that may be affecting your location.

The message is a warning, so you can continue using the app by pressing “continue” even if the issue is not resolved

3. Malicious Applications Detected

Solution:

  • We recommend reviewing recently installed apps and removing any suspicious or unknown apps.

  • Once you have removed the malicious app, perform a new security check on your device before attempting to access DataScope.

Until this situation is resolved, you will only be able to see this warning in the app and will not be able to use it.

If you encounter any of the above warning messages, we recommend following the instructions to restore your device's security and continue using all the features of our app without issues.
