To enhance your account security, you can enable Two-Factor Authentication (MFA) in DataScope. This feature adds an extra layer of protection, requiring a unique code from your mobile device in addition to your password when logging in.

Important

  • Each user must set up MFA from the web platform.

  • Once enabled, MFA will also be required when logging in from the mobile app.

📽 In the GIF below, you can see how to set it up on the web platform and how the validation appears in the mobile app.

🔐 How to enable MFA?

  1. Log in to your DataScope account from a web browser.

  2. Click your user icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Select MFA.

  4. Click Configure MFA.

  5. A QR code will be displayed, which you must scan with an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator).

  6. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app and click Verify.

Once verified, authentication will be enabled and this code will be requested each time you log in.

📱 Which app should I use?

We recommend Google Authenticator, a free, reliable, and easy-to-use app. Other compatible options include Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password.

✅ How to use Google Authenticator?

  1. Download and install Google Authenticator from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

  2. Open the app and select + Add an account.

  3. Choose Scan a QR code.

  4. Scan the QR code shown on the MFA configuration screen in DataScope.

  5. The app will generate a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds.

  6. Enter this code in the platform and confirm.

That's it! Your account will be protected with two-factor authentication.

🔓 Can MFA be disabled?

Yes. You can disable MFA at any time from the same MFA section in the web platform by accessing it through the user icon. You will need to confirm your password to complete the process.

💡 Availability: This feature is available for Enterprise plan customers only.
