To increase the security of your account, you can enable two-factor authentication (MFA or 2FA) in DataScope. This feature adds an additional layer of protection by requesting a unique code from your mobile device in addition to your password when logging in.
🔐 Who can configure 2FA in the account?
Only users with the “Manage account settings” permission can enable or modify account security options.
⚙️ How to enable two-factor authentication?
Log in to your DataScope account from a web browser.
Click on your user icon (top right corner).
Go to Account & Security > Account Settings > Account Security (2FA).
Click on Activate two-factor authentication.
Choose how you want to configure 2FA for your account members:
Save the changes.
👤 Activation by each user
When a user enables 2FA from their profile, the system will display a QR code that must be scanned with an authenticator app.
We recommend Google Authenticator, available on Android and iOS.
Other compatible apps include Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password.
Steps:
Open your authenticator app and select Add account / Scan QR code.
Scan the QR code shown in DataScope.
The app will generate a 6-digit temporary code that changes every 30 seconds.
Enter this code in the platform to verify and complete the setup.
Once activated, this code will be required each time the user logs in, both on the web and on the mobile app.

🔓 Can 2FA be disabled?
Yes.
Administrators can change the security policy from Account Settings > Account Security (2FA), switching from mandatory to optional or disabling it completely.
Individual users can disable their own 2FA from their profile, as long as the account does not have the “mandatory” option enabled.
💡 Availability: This feature is available only for Enterprise plans.
