To turn on location services for DataScope, first turn on your phone's or browser's location services, and then turn on location access for the DataScope app.
📌 Android devices
To turn on your device's location services:
Go to Settings > Location.
Turn on location services.
📌 The names and exact location of these options may vary depending on your device's brand and Android version.
To turn on location access specifically for the DataScope app:
Go to Settings > Apps > DataScope > Permissions > Location.
Select the level of access you want to grant (for example, "While using the app").
Restart the DataScope app.
📌 iOS devices
To turn on your device's location services:
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Turn on Location Services.
To turn on location access specifically for the DataScope app:
Within Location Services, scroll through the list of apps and select DataScope.
Select While Using the App. If you've also turned on location history for DataScope, you can select Always.
Restart the DataScope app.
📌 Web browsers
Open the form from the web.
When the browser shows the message asking for location access, select Allow.
Continue answering the form normally.
If access was previously blocked, you'll need to:
Go to the browser's settings.
Look for the Privacy / Location section.
Allow location access for the DataScope site.
📌 If GPS (location) services aren't working for you
Check one or more of the following:
The DataScope app isn't authorized to access GPS on your device. In this case, check above how to enable it.
The app may have permission, but GPS is turned off. In this case, you'll need to turn it on from your device's settings.
The device isn't picking up a GPS signal. In this case, try moving around or finding a spot where it can work better.
