Why was my debit or credit card declined at DataScope?

Payments problems

There are several reasons why a credit card payment may not be approved on DataScope.

We use Stripe as our payment platform, which applies strict security checks to protect users and prevent unauthorized transactions. This process is automatic and, in most cases, does not affect valid cards.

What can I do if my payment was declined?

If your card is valid but the payment was not approved, we recommend that you:

  • Try the transaction again after a few minutes

  • Use a different credit card

  • Contact your bank and let them know you want to make an online purchase

Some banks apply additional security measures for online transactions, especially if it’s your first time making one. You can call the number on the back of your card for assistance.

Accepted payment methods

Through Stripe, DataScope accepts:

  • Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards

  • Debit cards issued by Bancomer, Banamex, Banorte, Santander, and HSBC

Important

💡 Your card must be enabled for international transactions, even if you are purchasing from your own country.
