✅ What does this feature do?
Automatically transfers the questions from a Google Form to DataScope.
The responses submitted via Google Forms are also synchronized with your DataScope account.
You can edit the imported form using the Form Editor.
You can also do the reverse process: import forms from DataScope to Google Forms.
🧩 Installing the DataScope Add-on
Go to this link to install the DataScope Add-on.
Grant the requested permissions and select or create your DataScope account during installation.
🔁 How to import a Google Form to DataScope
Open the form you want to link in Google Forms.
Click the Add-ons icon (🧩) and select DataScope.
A pop-up window will open. Click on Start DataScope.
In the Add-on menu, select Export Form.
✅ Done! Your form will be automatically replicated in your DataScope account.
Other options available in the menu:
Edit Exported Form: takes you to the form editor.
View App Responses: shows responses from the web platform.
Invite Users: adds users to respond via the mobile app.
Google Spreadsheet: connects with Google Sheets to view the responses.
Show Advanced Settings: allows extra configurations. You can:
Change email: connect a different DataScope account.
Reset settings: go back to default values.
Configure response sending: enable/disable automatic sending to DataScope.
Install/remove triggers: decide whether responses should be sent to DataScope or not.
🔄 How to import a DataScope form to Google Forms
Open any form in Google Forms.
Click on the Add-ons icon and open DataScope.
Go to Show Advanced Settings > Import Form.
Choose the form from your DataScope account and click Import.
The form will be sent to your Google Drive and you’ll be able to share it via link.
📩 The responses from your imported form, submitted through the Google Form link, will also be sent automatically to DataScope.
TIP: From the Add-on menu, under “Configure Response Sending,” you can install or remove triggers to control whether responses from the current form are sent to DataScope or not.
📌 Frequently Asked Questions
Are questions with text and images imported?
Currently, only the question text is imported. Images, videos, titles, and “duration”-type questions are not included.
📷 Questions of type “file upload” in Google Forms are converted into Photo-type questions in DataScope.
Checkbox grids are translated into several checklist questions, with titles like "Question Title - Row Name" and the columns as answer options.
Are conditional questions preserved?
No. Conditions are not automatically configured. You can manually add them in the Advanced Settings for each question in DataScope.

Having trouble loading a form?
Sign out from all your Google accounts.
Access the link using the correct account (the one editing the form).
Make sure your form has at least one question.
Is your Google account different from your DataScope account?
You have two options:
Share the Google Form with your DataScope account, granting editing access.
Use the Change Email option from the Add-on to connect another account. (Recommended if you have multiple forms)
Are responses automatically sent to DataScope?
Yes. By default, all responses completed in Google Forms after the import are synced with DataScope.
✏️ If you don’t want to receive more responses in DataScope, you can duplicate the form in Google Forms and delete the original.
Is there a limit on how many forms I can link?
Yes. You can have up to 20 active forms with automatic response sending (triggers) per Gmail account.
💡 Final Tips
Responses submitted from the DataScope App (offline) will not show in Google Forms, only in DataScope’s web platform.
To import correctly, your Google Form must have at least one question.
Integration with Google Sheets is optional and allows you to view responses directly in a spreadsheet.
