Tracking assigned tasks is key to staying organized and meeting deadlines. A practical way to automate it is to connect your tasks to a Google spreadsheet.
That way, you can see how tasks are progressing, share the information with your team, and check it from anywhere.
💡 What do I need to do?
If you need to... | Do this |
Connect your tasks to a Google spreadsheet | Use the Google Sheets button in Task Assignments |
See the tasks assigned before the integration | Export them to Excel and import them into your spreadsheet |
Take your tasks to a spreadsheet without connecting it | Use the Export button |
Have forms and tasks in the same Google Sheets file | Use a separate sheet within the same file for each integration |
📌 How do I integrate my tasks with Google Sheets?
Step 1: Prepare your spreadsheet in Google Sheets
Go to Google Sheets and create the spreadsheet where you want to receive the data.
To ensure a proper, private, and secure integration, share your document with editor permissions only with
datascope-sheets@datascope-io.iam.gserviceaccount.com.Copy your spreadsheet's link.
Step 2: Set up the integration in DataScope
Log in to the DataScope Web Platform.
Go to Task Assignments.
Select the Google Sheets button.
In the Assigned Tasks Integration window, paste your spreadsheet's link in the New link field.
Select Save.
The window shows you the service account to share your spreadsheet with, and you can copy its address from there. It also includes the Go to Google Sheets link.
Once saved, the link appears in the window with icons to copy or delete it.
📌 Important: when you set up the integration, the spreadsheet doesn't bring data right away. Data is added as tasks are created.

📥 How do I send my older tasks?
Tasks assigned before the first integration don't appear in the spreadsheet. To see them, export the tasks from DataScope and import them into your spreadsheet:
In Task Assignments, filter the date range you need.
Select Export. The tasks whose execution date falls within the applied date range are exported. You can change the file's name before exporting.
Download the Excel (.xlsx) file.
In your Google Sheets spreadsheet, go to File > Import, upload the file, choose Replace spreadsheet, and select Import data.
Check the Datetime, Time Gap, Completed, State columns and the rest of the tasks' data.
📌 Important: when importing, existing data isn't modified: new rows are added with the changes to those tasks.
To learn how to export the list of tasks, see: How do I export the list of assigned tasks?
🕒 Time zone and date format
To avoid incorrect values such as #VALUE! in the Delay Time (m) and State columns, set your spreadsheet's time zone: File > Settings > General > Time zone, and select Save and reload.
Also check the spreadsheet's Locale, in the same place. In spreadsheets with a month/day format, dates with a day of 12 or less may appear with the day and month swapped. Choose a locale with a day/month format.
💡 Tip: forms and tasks in the same file
If you need to have forms and assigned tasks integrated in the same Google Sheets file, you can: each integration goes in a separate sheet within the same file.
