You can set the quality of photographs collected through Photo type questions in your forms.
This setting lets you choose between different quality levels, based on your storage and syncing needs. This feature is exclusive to our paid plans.
⚙️ How do I configure photo quality?
Log in to the DataScope Web Platform.
Go to Forms.
Open the form you want to configure.
Select the Photo type question.
In the question's settings, look for the option to set the photo quality.
Select the quality level you want to use.
📷 Quality options
You can currently choose between different quality levels:
Quality | Maximum resolution |
High | 1,000 x 1,000 px |
Medium | 800 x 800 px |
Low | 600 x 600 px |
Which quality should I choose?
High: offers higher resolution, but may require more time to sync answers.
Medium: offers a balance between quality and file size. This is the recommended quality.
Low: uses a lower resolution and can make syncing answers easier. This is the default quality, and the only one available on free accounts.
💡 Recommendation: Medium quality can be a good option when you need to keep an adequate level of detail without unnecessarily increasing the size of your photographs.
📱 Does quality depend on the device?
Yes. The final quality of the photo also depends on the capabilities of the phone or tablet camera used to answer the form.
The form's setting establishes the quality limit, but the resulting image can also depend on the device's camera.
💧 Do photos have a watermark?
Yes. Regardless of the quality chosen, all photos have a watermark.
💳 Is this feature available on all plans?
No. Adjusting photo quality is a feature exclusive to our paid plans. Free accounts only have Low quality, with no option to change it.

📌 Important
Higher image quality can generate larger files and, therefore, increase the time needed to sync answers.
