When you modify an answer in DataScope, the originally recorded location is kept. In other words, the modification doesn't replace the location where you started completing the form.
This lets you preserve the geolocation information associated with the original answer.
📍 Which location gets recorded?
DataScope can record different locations throughout an answer's process.
The location shown as the main one on the answer corresponds to the place where you started completing the form.
If you later modify the answer, the location of that modification doesn't replace the original location.
Example
Imagine a technician starts an inspection at:

Afterward, they move to another place and modify the answer from:
📍 Location B
The answer will still show Location A as the main location, since it corresponds to where the form was started.
📊 What happens when exporting the data?
The information can vary depending on the export format.
Excel
If the answer was started and submitted from different locations, the Excel export can include both coordinates, so you can check the geolocation information recorded throughout the process.

The PDF keeps the location information corresponding to where the form was started.
So, modifying the answer afterward doesn't change the location shown in the PDF document.
