You can create a public link to share a DataScope form and let other people answer it directly from a browser, without needing a DataScope account.
The link can be shared by copying it directly, by email, or via WhatsApp.
🔗 How do I create a public link?
Go to Forms.
Select the form you want to share.
Select Configure > Configure Sharing.
In the sharing window, select the Computer tab.
Turn on the Make this form public option.
A public link will be generated to answer the form.
You can also access the sharing options from the form itself, using the share icon.
📤 How do I share the link?
Once the public link is generated, from the Computer tab of the sharing window you can:
Copy the link or visit it directly.
Send it by email from the sharing options.
Share it via WhatsApp.
⚠️ When sharing by email: when adding addresses, make sure to leave a space after each email so it sends correctly.
📌 About the QR code: the sharing window also has a Mobile tab with a QR code, but this doesn't lead to the public form — it directs to downloading the DataScope app instead. If you need to share the form to be answered from the app (not the browser), see How do I answer a form from the mobile app?.
💡 If you still want people to access the public form by scanning a QR code, you can copy the link and generate your own QR with a free external tool (for example, an online QR code generator).
👤 Who can answer the form?
Anyone who has access to the public link will be able to answer the form, even without a registered DataScope account.
Answers submitted through a public link will be recorded under a generic Web Forms user, instead of the user who completes the form.
Important: if you need the answer to be associated with a specific user on your account, that person needs to log in and answer the form from the Web Platform or the app.
🔒 How do I turn off the public link?
If you no longer want to allow other people to access the form through the link:
Go to the form's sharing options.
Select Remove public access to form.
After turning off public access, the link will no longer work to answer the form.
📥 Where do the answers show up?
Answers submitted through the public link are automatically recorded under the Home section of your DataScope account.
From there, you can check and manage the answers like any other record.
⚠️ Considerations when answering from the Web
Most of the features available for answering forms also work from the Web, but there are some differences. For example:
Scanner-type questions aren't available in the Web version.
Photo questions can be answered by selecting an image from the computer's file manager, even when the gallery is disabled in the question's settings.

A public link allows anyone with access to the link to answer the form.
If the form contains sensitive information or is meant for a specific group of people, share the link only with those who need to use it.
