f you already have a Custom PDF template and want to reuse it in another form, you can export it as a .json file and import it into the form you want to configure.
📄 Step 1: Open the custom PDF editor
Go to Forms.
Select the form you want to configure.
Go to Configure > Configure PDF > Custom PDF.
Select Open PDF Editor.
📤 Step 2: Export the template you want to reuse
If the template you want to use already exists in another form:
Open the form that contains the template.
Go into the PDF Editor.
Open the File menu.
Select Open and choose the template you want to reuse.
Then select File > Export.
Download the template file in
.jsonformat.
Save this file on your device, since you'll need it to import it into the other form.
📥 Step 3: Import the template into another form
Open the form where you want to use the template.
Go into the PDF Editor.
Refresh the page before importing.
Open the File menu.
Select Import.
Select the
.jsonfile you exported earlier.
Want to replace an existing template?
If the form already has a template and you want to replace it with the new one:
Select Override an existing template (optional).
Select the template you want to replace.
Select the
.jsonfile.Click Import.
⚠️ Important: the option to replace a template overwrites the selected template. Check that you've chosen the correct template before confirming the import.
💾 Step 4: Save the changes
After importing the template:
Wait for the confirmation that it loaded correctly.
Select File > Save.
Check that the changes were saved correctly.
📌 Important
The .json file contains the Custom PDF template's configuration. It isn't the final PDF document.
If you make changes to the template after importing it, remember to save the changes again.
