Can I validate that a text has an email format?

Learn how to validate that a response entered in a Text question has a valid email format.

Yes. In DataScope, you can validate that the entered text has a valid email format, for example: correo@test.com.

To configure this validation, follow these steps:

  1. In the Form Editor, select a Text question.

  2. Open Advanced Options.

  3. Enable the Validate > email option.

Once this option is enabled, DataScope will validate the format of the entered response.

If the text does not match a valid email format, the user will not be able to continue with the form until they enter an email address in the correct format.
