Learn how to show the map corresponding to the location where the form was completed in the Standard PDF.

Written by Jessica Franco

DataScope can include a map with the location where the form was completed in the Standard PDF.

To turn it on, you just need to enable the Show Map option in the PDF settings.

🗺️ How do I turn on the map?

  1. Go to Forms.

  2. Select the form you want to configure.

  3. Go to Configure > Configure PDF.

  4. In the Standard PDF section, turn on the Show Map option.

  5. Select Save.

Once the change is saved, the geolocation map will appear at the beginning of the Standard PDFs generated from the form's answers.

📌 Important: the map uses the geolocation information available in the answer. If an answer doesn't have location data, the map won't be able to correctly show that location.

📄 Where does the map appear?

The map is shown in the Standard PDF, at the beginning of the document, next to the answer's general information.

The location corresponds to the place recorded while the answer was being completed.

🎨 Want to customize the map's position in the PDF?

The Show Map option applies to the Standard PDF.

If you need more control over the map's design and position within the document, you can use a Custom PDF.

📌 Remember

To show the map automatically in the PDFs:

Forms → Configure → Configure PDF → Standard PDF → Show Map → Save.
