Use DataScope Chat to communicate with the user who completed a form when you need to clarify or add to the information recorded.

The conversation stays linked to that specific form answer, so you can check the chat history whenever you need to.

💡 Example

A supervisor reviews an inspection carried out by a technician and needs to confirm a detail recorded in the answer.

Instead of using another communication channel, they can send a message directly from DataScope. The technician will receive a notification on the app and can reply from their device.

💻 How do I start a chat from the Web Platform?

  1. Go to Home.

  2. Select the form whose information you want to add to.

  3. Click Configure and then Chat.

  4. Write your message and send it.

The user who recorded the information from the mobile app will receive a notification and can reply from their device.

📱 How do I access chat from the mobile app?

To receive notifications for new messages, make sure DataScope notifications are turned on on your device.

You can access your conversations from the Chat option in the app's main menu.
