You can change DataScope's language in two ways from the web platform:
From Account Settings: sets the account's default language.
From your user menu: lets you temporarily change the language you're viewing.
DataScope is available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
🌐 Change the account's language
If you want to set the language DataScope will use as the default, you need to change it from Account Settings.
To do this:
Log in to DataScope from the web platform.
Click on your user, in the top-right corner.
Select App Settings.
Look for the Language option.
Select the language you want to use.
Save your changes.
The selected language will be set as the account's default language.
💡 Important: this change sets the language that will be used the next time you log in to DataScope.
For example, if the account is set to Spanish and you temporarily change the language to English from your user menu, you'll be able to use DataScope in English during that session. However, once you log out and log back in, the language configured for the account will be shown again.
👤 Change the language from your user menu
If you only need to use DataScope temporarily in another language, you can change it directly from your user profile.
To do this:
Click on your avatar in the top-right corner.
At the top of the menu, select the current language.
Select the language you want to use.
The change applies immediately to the platform. You can currently select:
🇪🇸 Español
🇺🇸 English
🇧🇷 Português
⚠️ Does this change modify my account's language?
No. The change made from your user menu is temporary and doesn't modify the default language configured in Account Settings.
If you log out and log back in, DataScope will show the language set for the account again.
📱 How do I change the language in the mobile app?
In the mobile app, the language depends on your device's language settings.
If you want to change DataScope's language on your phone, you need to change the language from your device's settings.
Note: the options for changing the language may vary depending on your device's operating system and model.
🔎 What's the difference between the two options?
Option | What it does | Does it persist after logging out? |
Account Settings | Sets the account's default language. | ✅ Yes |
User menu | Temporarily changes the language you're viewing. | ❌ No |
Device settings | Sets the language used by the mobile app. | ✅ As long as you keep that setting |
Example
Let's say your account's default language is Spanish.
If you select English from your user menu, DataScope will immediately switch to English. This change doesn't modify the account's setting.
When you log out and log back in, DataScope will show Spanish again, since that's the account's default language.
💡 Tip: if you want the language to change permanently, make the change from Account Settings. If you only need to check or use the platform in another language for a moment, you can change it from your user menu.
