The Trainings module in DataScope, also known as EduScope, lets you create knowledge assessments for your team and measure their results directly from the platform.
You can create the assessment with AI's help or from scratch, customize it, and share it with participants via a link, email, or QR code.
🎓 What can I use Trainings for?
You can use this module to assess your team's knowledge in different areas and processes of your organization. For example:
Occupational Health and Safety: emergency procedures, use of protective equipment, or safety protocols.
Food industry: good manufacturing practices, food handling, or preventing cross-contamination.
Internal processes: procedures, policies, and knowledge specific to your organization.
Onboarding new team members: assessing knowledge after a training session.
🤖 How do I create an assessment?
1. Choose how to start
When creating a new assessment, you can choose between two options:
Create with AI: describe, through an instruction, what content you want to assess, and DataScope automatically generates the questions.
Blank Assessment: build the assessment from scratch, adding each question manually.
2. Set the title and add the questions
If you chose Blank Assessment, start by entering the Assessment Title and then add your questions using Add New Question. If you generated the questions with AI, you can review and edit them the same way.
3. Customize each question
Within each question, you can configure, for each answer option:
The option's text.
The score that option grants.
Feedback comments explaining why the answer is correct or incorrect.
Attachments.
Associated skills, through the Skills Management button: you can tag each option with one or more skills related to the topic being assessed (for example, "fire extinguisher use" or "emergency protocols").
These skills are what later show up in the results as strengths and areas to improve — DataScope calculates these based on which options (and therefore which skills) each participant answered correctly or incorrectly.
4. Configure the assessment
Under the Settings tab, you can customize:
Request an extra identifier: ask the participant for additional information, such as their employee number.
Randomize question order.
Show Feedback after each question.
Assessment description and Assessment instructions.
Introductory Video Link.
Upload PDF Document with supporting material.
Time in minutes to complete the assessment.
5. Share the assessment
From Share, you can choose between two ways to send the assessment:
Share by Email.
Share by Link: generates a direct link and a QR code for participants to access from their device.
📌 If you turn on Private Assessment, the assessment won't be public and can't be shared via link or QR code — in that case, you'll need to share it by email.
📊 How do I check the results?
Results are recorded in DataScope and can be checked under the Results tab after participants complete the assessment. You can review information such as:
Participant identification.
Score obtained.
Start time.
Whether the assessment was completed.
Number of correct and incorrect answers.
Strengths and areas to improve, based on the skills you associated with each question.
This information lets you identify which knowledge areas are well developed and which need more reinforcement.
Results can also be exported for further analysis or use in other tools.
💡 Example
Let's say you need to assess a team on safety procedures.
You can create an assessment with Create with AI, using an instruction like:
"Create a 10-question assessment on emergency procedures and proper use of protective equipment for industrial plant workers."
DataScope will generate the questions, and you'll then be able to review them, associate skills with each answer option, adjust the scoring, and configure the assessment before sharing it with your team.
